Congratulations to undergraduate Leah Palmer for receiving an honorable mention in the Florida Museum of Natural History’s Elegance of Science art competition. Leah is a former lab member in Dr. Kaan’s Brain and Language Lab. Her beautiful Art Nouveau-inspired tribute to Cuban-Americans and event-related potentials (ERPs) can be seen at Florida museum.

Sasha Lavrentovich wins Calvin A. VanderWerf Award for Excellence in Teaching

Congratulations to Sasha Lavrentovich, recipient of a Calvin A. VanderWerf Award for Excellence in Teaching. This award was established in memory of Dr. VanderWerf, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from 1971-1978 and chemistry professor from 1978 to 1988.
