Edith Kaan and Jorge Valdes Kroff receive NSF Linguistics funding

Drs. Edith Kaan and Jorge Valdes Kroff are PI and co-PI, respectively, on a four-year NSF grant entitled “Adaptation of control processes in code-switching”. The project provides funding for a postdoctoral scholar, UF PhD graduate Dr. Souad Kheder.

Ratree Wayland and Kevin Tang win NSF funding

Congratulations to Drs. Tang and Wayland, who are co-PIs on a new NSF project through the Electrical, Communications and Cyber Systems program. The $750,000, three-year grant is titled “SenSE: Smart Electropalatography for Linguistic and Medical Applications (SELMA)”.

SLaM lab (Kevin Tang & Josh Martin) receive UF Clinical and Translational Science Institute Precision Health Initiative Pilot Award

A new University of Florida transdisciplinary collaboration has been awarded nearly $50,000 to help reduce colorectal cancer screening inequities affecting African-American patients, by optimizing the delivery of a mobile screening intervention. Kevin Tang and Josh Martin are part of this project.
